I've spent some time over the holidays combining threejs and rapier physics (wasm). The land is a 3D noise field, made real with blocks of marching cubes.

The world can be editted now! They say cache invalidation is one of the two hard problems in computer science, and I really felt that personally this time.

Semi-transparent tiles are working great. I also made some rule and art for tile adjacency, to move away from the cubey aesthetic. Eventually the art and adjacency rules will be procedural as well.

While I do plan to add non-full tiles which you can see past (and see multiple tiles per triangle), it might be interesting to work on blending tiles next, instead.
