Oisín McGannI used to think the limbs of action figures clicked because the mechanism helped hold the limb in position. I didn't realize that, for characters over forty, the clicking was anatomically correct.

I had a brilliant plan to chill my chilli before freezing it. It lasted one minute before it started raining.
Two jobs were actually easier than expected!
1. Washing jumpers: cunningly bought new jumpers this year that go in the washing machine and are nearly dry after the spin. No more wrestling with heavy sopping wool.
2. I'm going to wrap the garden tap for winter but can't find any string. Also I must get around to swapping these new shoelaces for the broken ones in my garden shoes OH STRING

I got loads done today! I got the lodger to put the bins out, I got Chris round the corner to run some errands on Mill Road, and I finally got someone to look at the wobbly decking on the balcony with a view to replacing it (and a bunch of other jobs). And I finished reading a book.
Last night in stress dreams: my phone had an update and the text message app was now replacing each word with a picture of a nut and I couldn't communicate with the builder who's coming later. Walnut hazel almond pecan.
