@gruber Itโ€™s even more ridiculous when you compare the Neo to the A16 iPad plus its $250 (!!) Magic Keyboard Folio

@never_released @dougall @saagar @alexr @siracusa New in Xcode 26.4b3: ๐Ÿ‘‹ M5 Pro/Max.
CPUFAMILY_ARM_SOTRA (H17S) contains P-cores and M-cores, and there's now a CLUSTER_TYPE_M enum to go with TYPE_E and TYPE_P.

At the risk of being hyperbolic: is the MacBook Neo throwing the iPad under the bus?

For $599 you can now buy a 128GB A16 iPad ($350) + Magic Keyboard Folio ($250)โ€ฆor a 256GB A18 Pro MacBook Neo.
$250 for the keyboard has always felt excessive, now itโ€™s just absurd.

Iโ€™d love to see the Magic Keyboard Folio come down to $150, along with the expected A18 iPad upgrade.

@gruber The first F1 _race_ of the season is on March 8, but the event is an entire weekend and first practice is on March 6. Plus itโ€™s in Australia, so in the US thatโ€™s really the evening of March 5.
(Only 36 hours after the March 4 โ€œexperienceโ€)

Apple has announced almost nothing about their F1 plans yet (whose coverage theyโ€™re going to use, how the F1 TV option will work), hopefully that comes soon. US fans have been missing winter testing coverage since thereโ€™s essentially no broadcaster.

After a ton of work, I've finally gotten over my perfectionism and made https://github.com/mattst88/ip32prom-decompiler public.

It decompiles the PROM firmware for the Silicon Graphics O2 (IP32) and reassembles it into a bit-identical image.

Even if that doesn't sound interesting to you, the README and reverse-engineering document should make for a fun read.
