Am I just 1000 poorly batched RPCs?

I have reached the age where somehow, and I have no idea how, I seemed to have slightly sprained my ankle while sleeping.

So I have that going for me, which is nice

Who has two thumbs and referenced the entire plot of Trouble With Tribbles as an example of a food web for a college course?

This guy 🤣

5 weeks post carpal tunnel and golfer's elbow surgery, and I am finally able to (mostly) lift again! Recovery is going a little slower than I would "like" it to, but I am definitely ahead of schedule.

I have also been able to move on from ice and compression to actually adding heat too! The only thing that I can't do yet is anything that requires my hand to be flat (like pushups, plank, and anything with a barbell). I have to use the compression glove with small rubber strips on the palm since my grip strength isn't even close to returning yet, but that's okay!

The oddest feeling about carpal tunnel is that it feels like there is a bump (the scar) but at the same time, a massive gap between the right side and left side my wrist, because the ligament was cut. It is a strange feeling, but hey, if my body can adapt to having a completely shredded rotator cuff and partially torn bicep tendon for over a decade (thanks military doctors) it will get used to the "new normal" as well. And this normal is actually good for me.

I know that I've been quiet for a few weeks, and this is my first "official" post over here in the good place.

Got my morning walk in today, a great way to start off my #DFIRFit week. And still on pace to finish up the #DFIRFitin2022 challenge!

The reason that I've been quiet is at the end of October, I started experiencing very severe hand and elbow pain in my left arm. After some tests, and doctor consultations, the decision was made to undergo surgery for carpal tunnel release and medial epicondylitis release. I underwent the same surgery on my right elbow in 2018 (I think, I've unfortunately had to undergo so many surgeries I don't even remember the years). But the interesting thing is, despite being commonly associated with overuse, both are almost 99.999% genetic related. Which means that my future probably holds a right hand carpal tunnel release at some point to, because you can't out-train, out-work, or out-medicate genetics. I'm just one blessed/cursed with smaller joint capsules, which means less space for everything to actually go where it is supposed to.

But, I am well on my way to recovery, I have almost no pain or discomfort, and I have already started some rehab exercises that will probably resume next week.

Plus side, I need to move my hand/fingers a lot, which means extra video games (I mean, rehab) :)

@Dfirlee I've been here for a while (mainly to make sure no one else grabbed my username), but once the jackass running the bird site started to reinstate people who were properly deplatformed, it became obvious that the bird site was no longer a good place to be.

I'm hopeful that it can return to a relatively decent place again, but it's not looking promising
