Adulthood means being able to buy as many video games as you ever wanted, but having absolutely no time to play them.
@Dingfelder What a breathtaking view to have every day! I’m quite jealous!
@ivory Would be nice if you could maybe give more than 1 hours notice of the specific time in the future.

I think it’s safe to say autumn is my favourite season.

@FrodeHommedal @hi3ronym0s Perhaps a corollary to a few of these points: Accept that you will be dealing with competing priorities, and your priorities will not always line up with theirs. The best way to counter this is to learn to be persuasive in a constructive and positive way.

This has been more of a case with production stability and scaling for my career, but I think it applies to many disciplines.

@0xdema Spoiling the cat is totally valid! Back when I had cats, they seemed to think the ornaments on the tree were their gifts and certainly made them into toys regardless of my thoughts on the matter.
@SwiftOnSecurity You bring up something important: Durability is cheaper in the long run, but requires a higher up front investment. This favors the haves over the have-nots. As an example, I bought a couple pairs of well constructed jeans maybe 6 years ago. They were $150 a pair at the time which was really expensive for me. But I easily would have spent that much or more ones the same period of time replacing low quality jeans when they tore or wore out.
@0xdema My daughter isn’t a year old yet, so probably enjoying the fact that I won’t be woken up at 4am by a child desperate to open Christmas gifts. I don’t have many of these left. You?
@btrinen Thank you for not being one of those asses that parks on the side of the road and contributes to a traffic nightmare at the airport.
