Homebody parent of 2. Love TTRPG/CRPGs with character creation. Mostly solo or one-on-one with oldest because coordinating time is hard. Prefer fantasy or cyberpunk settings, but also love sci fi movies and books. Love privacy and chocolate. Hate data collection/correlation and cheese.
@ebel I also wonder, if teenagers are too immature to police their own time on social media, then are they too immature to advise a government on whether or not it should control the time all teenagers spend on social media? Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t let my kids use it without restriction, but it’s crazy how often they trot out the kids when they need everyone on the Internet to be identified.

@cstross Isn’t the cost for these meds really high in the U.S.? And I think low income/wealth is associated with obesity. Wouldn’t surprise me if people use them temporarily. I also saw an article within the last week that mentioned unexpected side effects from these meds (like tooth decay).

Here’s it in action - when people on my Mastodon server click links to my blog, I can see they’re from Mastodon. Other publishers can too. It will drive the importance of Mastodon as a platform. Almost all my traffic is under “direct”, which I strongly suspect is Mastodon servers without the feature enabled.
