Unread 4.7 is available from the App Store. This modest update adds liquid glass support on iPhone and iPad when running iOS 26 or iPadOS 26. Alerts, software keyboards, and context menus for selected text in articles now look more modern. There is still very little liquid glass in the core user interface.

Some Apple Music Atmos mixes are completely broken. A flag per Album to select if you want Atmos or Stereo is nearly necessary. Feels like they sent a bunch of content through a tool and didn’t listen to it at all. The vocals in this one are fading in and out. @viticci do you have a hot tip to help with this? A couple of years ago I “upgraded” to a newer model and got burned. As soon as the car interior warmed up even a little it would overheat so I decided to stick with my original until the magic smoke comes out of it. 😉

@caseyliss my carlinkit wireless CarPlay dongle has been working well again on my 17 Pro after installing 26.1b3 last week. I think the kicker why 26.0.1 didn’t help me was because I have an Apple Watch too. Other friends with 17’s and wireless CarPlay had their issues settle after 26.0.1 but they don’t have watches. What’s your experience like now?

@marcoarment if you want to play that game, what about the the tiny ‘more’ touch target in App Store Updates screen. Just missing that and going to the apps full listing instead of the text expanding drives me bonkers. It’s been years and years, it’s death by 1000 cuts in this amazing ecosystem that we all want to keep loving.
