@liza This quote by the Ikea founder gave me such a thrilling new perspective that I talked the person at the checkout counter into selling me the yellow bag (which is usually not for sale). I never viewed it from the perspective that today we are still at the very beginning of inventions. Both technically and socially. A glorious future indeed.

The smart phones removed haptics! I want displays that can produce 3D surfaces. Surfaces that feel like paper, glass, brushed steel or gummi bears. With embossed characters. Capable of displaying braille. In 1980 we had a b/w text screen. In 1990 16 colors. In 2000 it could display photos and became flat. The. it got touch Its about time we move on and get haptics back. #future #innovation
Man did I invest hours to find out how to make this in Photoshop! The look of Mac OS X in 2001. When we used this on web sites, it forced us to cut all buttons as images. And yes, it was #HTML 3.01 <table> layouts for #NetscapeNavigator. #Safari did not even exist. Good old times. I'm suprised I still can do it. The iMac G3 restoration project brings back memories.

And yes: I tried restoring. Burnt a biot CD but the drive wont work.
Need help with Mac OS X (old). I took this iMac G3 beauty apart, cleaned it, scrubbed it piece by piece. It niw looks like brand bew. When I added a new user, startup hangs where the login dialog should be displayed. Leaves me with a working mouse pointer on a white screen. I'm searching the logs for hints.
And yes I did not post for a long time. Was drowned in work. Now corona pinned me down. And I want to see this beauty working.
