@atpfm it makes me sad that you guys are still ordering things from Amazon. I always try to get stuff either direct or through another vendor.

@atpfm re: 635

Love you guys and you're usually spot on with things, but your evaluation of the demand and willingness of Americans to work in a factory is WAY off base. There are a lot of people in our country who do not want to go to college and just want to learn a trade and make a regular living. The jobs for those people have been getting shipped off to foreign countries for literally decades now. I think you guys need to get out of your tech bubble.

I think I started dual booting it with Mac OS 9 on my Cube the same day lol

@gruber on Apple Maps if I just go there it says Gulf of America but if I zoom out a bit it changes to Gulf of Mexico. I’m in the US.
FAIR calls out some of the shoddy coverage on the 2025 Coup by the NY Times & Wash. Post. They “largely buried these stories, downplaying their earth-shattering break from democratic norms”. (Wired & Rolling Stone have been courageous in their coverage.) https://fair.org/home/as-constitutional-crises-mount-us-press-sleepwalks-into-autocracy/
As Constitutional Crises Mount, US Press Sleepwalks Into Autocracy

The New York Times and Washington Post largely downplayed the Trump administration's earth-shattering break from democratic norms.

Too many people didn’t appreciate just how wonderful, how glorious, it was that the daily news cycle during Biden’s presidency was boring as fuck.

@Bluedonkey @glennf one of my best friends did the same, although he replaced his with a Hyundai ionic.
