Resident PHP & Jacascript iconoclast. I still think PSR is the worst, even now that I'm on Mastodon. You might remember me from Dallas PHP and Lone Star PHP. Proud to be final-free.

@zonuexe who will watch the watchmen is right, because in the early days of the tdd fad the biggest issue was people writing tests and walking away, leaving them half done and never updating them for advancements. my life was so many false failures that i would just kill the suite off so i could get things done back then. "i wrote a test i helped" causing more carnage than anything.
@jay i was in that same boat and just elected to let go. it was actually bungie deleting all the game content i paid for in destiny 2 that shattered my fomo. things work for me because they work for me, pretending something is cooler without being able to convince myself to commit to the migration isn't very evident that the replacement is actually cooler. do i need these 500gb of videos i liberated but am never going to actually watch? no not really. rm -rf.

@psycodepath @afilina i know its a terrible idea but i just went back to w10 and broke its ability to update cuz they are still, and that is where i am going to live, trying to protect myself upstream in the network instead. i cant use linux i like games too much.

idk about on w11 but on w10 if you take system's permissions away from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution. breaks wuagent's ability to write data. you can give it back to update it on your personal timeline instead of when they want it.

@afilina so many people have lost their absolute shit over how i disable almost all autocorrect features in everything i touch, and it is all because of this. mobile phones are impossible to use for me unless these are disabled as well because i cannot convey a single damn thing at work with it on.

@theshaunwalker @brunty piratesoftware has always been a moron. he talks so much shit but his internship at blizzard was gained through nepotism. (his daddy worked there)

att won't let me use their website at all while connected to the vpn that i host inside of digitalocean.

thats what got my new mailjet account flagged too. agents stopped responding to my angry rants so i made a new account without being on the vpn and it didn't get jailed. which is fkn hilarious because that vpn ip is gonna be where the api requests come from too.

this is an ip i have owned for about 10 yrs. its reputation has to be 0 threat. so everyone is just blanket blocking digitalocean.

mailjet has fallen.

at least its not as bad as sendgrid who treats you like a criminal and makes you go to their ticket system to manually create the ticket yourself.

[update] i spoke to soon. they immediately started treating it as a criminal case.

the strangle hold on just trying to send a damn email without spam bouncing by big tech is complete.

@awoodsnet https://eric-jadi.medium.com/minecraft-as-a-k8s-admin-tool-cf16f890de42 this isnt the one i was thinking of, but like 10-15 years ago someone had made a full server admin suite in minecraft, basically making it augmented reality system for the real life network.
