Unfortunately, even with a few different tweaks, #ShadowsOfDoubt runs pretty garbage on #Linux. Will have to try and dig into different settings that might be useful, but the framerate is terrible and pop in is absolutely terrible.

With that said the game wasn't *the most* performant on #Windows to start with.

I think the biggest thing I miss about living in #Sydney is being able to pick up pretty much any tech stuff at will. I need to pick up a 2U server chassis at the moment. If I was still living in Sydney, I could just drive to #Scorptec or #Mwave and bring one home, or even get it delivered same day from #Amazon.

In #Newcastle? Not so much. My need for instant gratification does not like this *at all*.

Can someone please find a printing vulnerability triggered by a pair of HTTP requests because "2 Curls 1 CUPS" getting into the news would make me laugh for weeks
Anyone out there using #VictoriaLogs for their monitoring? I've noticed at some arbitrary time it appears to stop returning new log results, and needs to be restarting to start returning logs. It doesn't itself log any errors so I'm a bit ???

A reminder to everyone that #ShadowsOfDoubt 1.0 releases today - it's an absolute fantastic voxel-based detective game, and I'll be giving it another go now it's out of #EarlyAccess.

Since it's 5:15am and I'm unable to sleep, may as well release my next #SpaceMarine2. Today we're a dishonest employee and manipulate bad access controls to view information we're not supposedly to be able to! It's an InfoSec expert's nightmare up in this joint!

I also address the Saber Interactive CEO's problematic comments regarding the game.

Similarly, blocking WP Engine from WP.org servers is petty af but most likely also a completely legal move.

It also completely undermines the security of a ubiquitous web product (WP itself) that already has a bad reputation. I think there's a high risk that this strategy will backfire badly on Automattic.

(2/2)

Is there a nice balanced review of exactly what is happening with #Automattic vs #WPEngine? What I'm understanding so far is:

- Automattic / #MattWullenweg want WP Engine to pay moneys and/or contribute to the project rather than purely profiting on it.
- WP Engine don't want to do so.
- Automattic have now blocked WP Engine's access to WP.org servers?

While it is not ideal and grifty that WP Engine don't contribute to the project, it's not compulsory to do so. (1/2)

Here's some 4:30am thoughts for you.

I have a bad back that manifests at night if I don't regularly change sleeping positions.

I also have sleep apnea, which leads to a lot of tossing and turning. But this year I've started on CPAP for that which helps immensely.

So essentially my choice is:

a. Toss and turn all night, snore, stop breathing, generally have a really bad quality sleep.

b. Sleep well and wake up with almost unbearable back pain.

That's your 30s for you I guess.

Also finished #TerminatorZero tonight. Interesting conclusion. I was quite a fan of the art style as well.
