@randahl Once again Trump appealed a TRO . . . yeah . . . IYKYK. For those who aren't familiar with Civil Procedure (federal and otherwise) a TRO is not generally appealable because, well, the word "Temporary" is a huge clue. A TRO has a hearing where both parties get to present their case to the judge; in effect a built in appeal. But we live in bizarre times so stay tuned

Judge rules Trump has violated the tenth amendment to the US constitution by usurping control over The National Guard and using this force against civilians in California.

Control of the national guard must therefore be handed over to the state of California, allowing Gavin Newsome to send the guard home.

As always, Trump has appealed to stay on the playground for a few more days, but in all likelihood it is game over.

@oldladyplays The suppression of the protesters by state authorities for the content of their speech IS unconstitutional. Nationalizing the CA National Guard and calling in the Marines (an assault force) to "quell the violence" because you don't like what the protesters are saying about you is doubling down on the unconstitutional behavior; which is a hallmark of this Administration.
