The first couple of episodes have been fantastic. Really been a great way the keep entertained at the charging stops. :D
During the trip to watch my sister in laws perform in a play, I got a chance to go to the book store. Picked up two books on Buddhism and one on Stoicism. πŸ“š I’m looking forward to driving in while under a warm blanket and sipping on a cup of tea. β˜•οΈ
My pre-order of Star Trek Lower Decks season 3 just showed up in the mail... I know what I will be watching later
The expension unit has arrived! Now starts the mass data migration and data restructuring... starting with the DVR storage.
If I can get ahold of some compute modules I am thinking this might become my test environment. But, the first order of business is to find a decent case for it that will blend into the rest of my equipment.
The expansion unit has been marked as shipped! It should be arriving sometime next week, increasing the capacity by ~380%. This is to account for the rate of growth with our net systems. Once it is here the mass migration & data restructuring will start. 😱
My Turing Pi 2 cluster board came in the mail today. πŸ€” Now to figure out what I want to do with it.

The technician was amazing and was willing to explain everything. I think he was happy that we understood what he was doing without needing to dumb it down. He also did us a solid by disabling sub-systems we don’t need but would cause increased interference for our neighbors systems. 😁

The installation was significantly more complex than the phone rep made it out to be, and took the tech about 40 mins to complete (including tests and configurations).

A service technician is required to go to my home to install the new modem. This either means their installation process requires the technician to configure things I will not be granted access to OR they don't trust the general public to be able to put the red cable into the red port, the ethernet to the router into my own router, and plug in power. Either way I am offended.
We are on the phone with our ISP trying to upgrade my internet package. The representative on the phone tried to argue with me as to why we need a new modem. She asked, after saying we don’t need a new modem, what makes you think that you do? I replied, because our current modem only supports 1000base-t and we are asking you to sell us a 2GIG connection. So if you could ever so kindly help us that would be great. After some attitude she directed us to a different customer service representative.
