We are on the phone with our ISP trying to upgrade my internet package. The representative on the phone tried to argue with me as to why we need a new modem. She asked, after saying we don’t need a new modem, what makes you think that you do? I replied, because our current modem only supports 1000base-t and we are asking you to sell us a 2GIG connection. So if you could ever so kindly help us that would be great. After some attitude she directed us to a different customer service representative.
A service technician is required to go to my home to install the new modem. This either means their installation process requires the technician to configure things I will not be granted access to OR they don't trust the general public to be able to put the red cable into the red port, the ethernet to the router into my own router, and plug in power. Either way I am offended.

The technician was amazing and was willing to explain everything. I think he was happy that we understood what he was doing without needing to dumb it down. He also did us a solid by disabling sub-systems we don’t need but would cause increased interference for our neighbors systems. 😁

The installation was significantly more complex than the phone rep made it out to be, and took the tech about 40 mins to complete (including tests and configurations).
