After that little dumpster fire, I think it's time for me to flee to a more stable instance... That said, this is my last post on this instance. Admins of the instance... do better. I've already selected who I'm moving over & the rest will just have to deal with the consequences of poor software maintenence decisions.

Hey, just out of curiosity how many of you out there still have your ex account active? I’m embarrassed to admit it, but mine still is. Mostly due to certain governmental accounts only being accessible on that platform and not on mastodon.

I finally found a use for the action button on my iPhone 15 Pro Max… I configured it to activate a shortcut to begin a voice conversation with ChatGPT.
@gocu54 If you have ChatGPT plus already, then it won’t cost extra, but if you need to subscribe it will cost $20 a month, or roughly about $22 after taxes at least here in Washington state.
Now that’s an absolute trip! Just tried out the new advanced mode for #ChatGPT and played with some of its new capabilities. I actually got it to speak in a southern accent, an Appalachian accent, and even a valley girl accent. That was kind of fun.
Woohoo! I got rid of the unlabeled buttons visible in the Photos app by default. To do this, scroll all the way down to the bottom & double tap on the Customize & Reorder button. When on the next screen, double tap on Pinned Collections to deselect it, then double tap the Close button at the top of the screen & those pesky unlabeled buttons go away on the main screen of the Photos app. Hope this helps someone. #A11Y #Accessibility #Accessible #IOS18 #PhotosApp

@gocu54 How accessible is the Sirius-XM app? My carrier offers a discount for it, app only as they make clear in the offer, but I've hesitated to jump on it as I'm not sure if it's accessible or not.
@gocu54 Coming from a family with a history of alcoholism, all I can do is shake my head in mild disgust. Probably why I'm not much of a drinker... 1 beer on my birthday & maybe 1 or 2 on New Year's Eve and that's it for me. Even at social gatherings where I'm offered some, I keep to my strict limit.
