I am incredibly weak for puns; you have been forewarned.

I do not wish to doxx myself so it's hard to portray this online, but I just received the following email from Walmart with a 4-digit zip code. My zip code has a leading zero, so who wants to bet someone updated the database to store zip codes as an integer?

(I only made a Walmart account to take advantage of a particular deal, so probably I should just delete it anyways.)

Multiple lanes and bridges closed on the Mass Pike in #NewtonMA I don't have any idea of the cause currently. Whatever happened seems to have been recent.
The latest episode of The @interactome has dropped, and I want to thank Natalie for taking up the mantle of Dairy-Obsessed Host, since I wasn't on this one. Maybe it was the very late recording, but her description of her Trader Joe's cheese preferences was comically detailed. Our guest Rylee joined them to talk about #GIS, so I didn't expect it to have such a deep dairy diversion. You can hear it all go down on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/episode/18hkmONppscCvu47w3fbZb? or search for The Interactome on any podcast app.
Episode 21: Gateway to GIS

Listen to this episode from The Interactome on Spotify. When we think of science, we often think of data being collected in test tubes and laboratories, but lots of data actually exists in the context of mountains, roads, neighborhoods and countries. Join Joe, Sarah and Natalie and special guest Rylee Wrenner as they discuss Geographic Information Science (GIS), which allows researchers to understand the kinds of data that are best visualized on a map. Along the way, they discuss how to make useful models, the centuries-old origins of GIS in epidemiology, and somehow manage to relate GIS to cheese. Join us to learn about GIS and witness our continuing inexplicable obsession with dairy products. And no, we are not sponsored by the cheese section at Trader Joe's. Seriously, Natalie, I shouldn't have to add this to an episode about GIS. I was trying to take a #photo of #Jupiter a couple of weekends ago for the first time ever, and thought my lens had some junk on it. Today, though, I realized that it didn't actually look like normal refraction, opened up an online chart of the solar system and discovered that, instead, I had photographed the #GalileanMoons. This was a really fun accident, and I learned a few things about exposure and #astrophotography from it!
Hi all! Today I'm going to be doing a little project: fixing a busted #Camera lens. It's a #Tamron SP 70-300 that may or may not have taken a few tumbles, and now it won't focus. I've only done something like this once before, and I have no idea if I'll be successful. Subsequent posts will be followers-only so I don't spam everyone's feed.
