@theghostoftomjoad I would've loved to have the poll multiple choice. I too use different PWM for different occations. Like browser PWM for trivial accounts like news sites, keepass (+ yubikey + password) for important ones. I add a once random PW I memorized to the stored ones for the VIAs.

But in this case I guess you can expect that most of them do have a genuine interest. You could offer one optional hour "demo run" with strong student participation for those that don't get the format yet.
They might be missing the first step and can't "just start and try out stuff". So maybe let them analyze one challenge and get them to brainstorm where the hints are and what else they could try.

@themoep I think that depends on a couple of additional factors...
I guess you teach that course in the TU; so independent exploration is expected?
Is the course mandatory?
Have you exercised a similar example before, ideally in smaller training courses?

@wchr well sure, if you talk with another server, that's like a conversation. It's courteous to listen. I can live with that....
But noting down, storing IT for years and sharing it with others... What else is classical surveillance but noting down conversations and gathering them in one Spot for analysis and compatison?
It further shows the absurdity when you talk about trackers. A Server invites buisenes partners to the conversation, some overtly, some openly. Some will invite hundreds to their “one on one” conversation.
I guess I fail to see benign...

If you also wanna get into fermenting stuff, then ume boshi is definitely something to look at. Especially if you have the red variant. But generally seeping stuff together with shiso makes a more interesting flavor profile (ginger, pickles, ...).
