Suggestion: those of us interested in #iNaturalist can start following and mentioning @[email protected] when we're talking about it. that's @ iNaturalist @ a.gup.pe From what I understand, a.gup.pe basically operates bots that boost every toot they're tagged in, so people can follow those accounts and receive these toots. These bot accounts are called "groups" since they pass the toots along to their group of followers. So it basically works like a cross-instance hashtag, I think. (I've also heard that the newest version of Mastodon has hashtag following but I don't know much about it yet.)
