I never cease to be fascinated by the relationships in the landscape and in the biosphere. Beavers are common in my area. But they were extirpated and reintroduced. Beavers are trying to get as much water as possible. They also eliminate trees on the banks of the river. This probably gives more moisture in the landscape. Where beavers live, they can increase biodiversity by up to 60%. The number of plants in this area, for example, is huge.
