@anandmallaya Good point. I read it shortly after I retired from teaching Genetics and Evolution. Were I still active, it is certainly a book I would use in undergraduate classes.
@anandmallaya Reich's book is excellent. Although he's a bit self-centered in his approach, it does provide reasons to understand why Svante Paabo received the Nobel Price in medicine this year. #genetics

For nearly fifty years successive teams of researchers on both sides of the Atlantic have been working to track down all surviving letters written by or to Charles Darwin, research their content, and publish the complete texts. The thirtieth and final print volume, covering the last four months of Darwin’s life, will be published in early 2023 and all the letter texts – more than 15000 between 1822 and 1882 – are now published online. A question for #histodons : I’m pretty well read on American history, but I confess to being one of those who until recently had difficulty placing Ukraine on a map. Having now read some of Applebaum and Snyder, I’m wanting to learn about Polish history. Any suggestions where to start? #history
