For our friends in the #USA from the #FCC: On July 1, 2025, the FCC released an Order approving compensation rates for Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS).

Specifically, the FCC approves the compensation rates for traditional (TTY-based) TRS, Speech-to-Speech Relay Service (STS), analog Captioned Telephone Service (CTS), Internet Protocol (IP) Relay Services, Video Relay Service (VRS), and IP CTS for the period from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

WhatsApp scripts for standalone use have been updated to build 73.
Improvements have been made to ensure keyboard use is enhanced within JAWS 2025. For example, pressing function key F1 should be more responsive.
In addition to being able to press ALT+M to move to the messages list inside a chat while retaining the current position, press Control+Windows+M to move to the messages list but to the bottom.

Press ALT+Windows+k to search for keystrokes. For example, type the words, message reading, to get a list of message reading keystrokes, with a response like this:
The keystrokes for Message reading are:
Read the last 10 messages received: ALT+1 through to ALT+0.
Read recent messages 11 to 20: ALT+Windows+1 through to ALT+Windows+0.

Note that these scripts use the old updating system. Implementation of the new updater for various products as designed this year has not made it to these scripts as yet. This update was not planned. You can download the zipped archive of the scripts instead if preferred, details were sent to you at the time of purchase.

During tomorrow's webinar, we'll be demonstrating how you can download and listen to podcasts on your BT Speak!
