Oh no! Marjane Satrapi was one of my favourite comic artists. Persepolis is a great book, but I highly recommend looking at her other works. My favourite(*) is "Embroideries" (with the awesome German title "Sticheleien"). It's a look into an unusual space in literature: Iranian women among themselves, speaking openly in the back room, while the men are resting. And it's not a **serious** book, it takes the situation with a ton of humor at the expense of everyone in and outside of that storytelling room. It masterfully tells small things hinting at the big things, because - well - all that happens in a society. It's entertaining _and_ serious at the same time. It totally shows how she loves all those characters and wants to share them with everyone.
(*) Her last book - Woman, Life, Freedom - is on my pile of shame.
