FWIW I am lucky enough to (just) be in the higher tax band. And I am proud to pay it. I knew I would be in that band before we emigrated

My council tax on a 3 bed in Cambridgeshire was more than my council tax on a 4 bed in Scotland. And it includes water up here

The tories are riled. They know Scotland is heading towards independence and they are finding anything to show "Scotland bad"

I think it's time the other NATO countries seriously upped their defence spending, because it looks like we have potential invaders on both sides. Maybe also time to look at removing some of those US bases in our countries.

About me and Nazis:

Back in 1906 my great-grandpa and his family emigrated to the UK from the part of the Russian empire that became Poland in 1918.

A bunch of their relatives said "naah, life's good" and stayed home in the old country.

In 1939, Nazis invaded and by 1943 they were all dead.

It turns out that FAFO is a REALLY BAD way of dealing with Nazis.
