Many people still know us as "HDRI Haven" and search for our content on Google with this term - but beware, a scam artist is cloning our content on a similar domain, and earning ad revenue. Some months ago they even had a Patreon scamming people for "donations to help make HDRIs".
I'm not sure what can be done about this. Our content is CC0 so rehosting it is legal - though our API ToS specifically forbids this. Trying to report the issue to Google or their domain host were just dead ends.

"Stereotype" is a printer's term. Moveable type is expensive. You don't want to keep it tied up longer than needed, so you make a mould from the set type and cast a plate from that.
The "stereotype" is the mould.
A "cliché" is what the French called plate made from that mould, it's onomatopoeia from the sound of removing the plate from the mould.
"Boilerplate" is widely repeated text from the round stereotype castings of newspaper columns ready to throw on a drum press.

This is VERY bad news for users of small instances like myself.
I do understand the reasoning behind it, and I'm not sure there is a good alternative. But it sure feels a bit like a deja vu from the self hosted email days ...
This disables anonymous access to the streaming API to simplify the code and disable an endpoint that we were not aware of any legitimate use of when unauthenticated. Mastodon itself has only brief...

Who at GoPro came up with this weird naming convention where the chapter name comes before a video's serial number? Sorting alphabetically results in a mess!

I had intended to feature scalp hair in my next render, but ran into some problems while preparing a simple turntable animation, so hair is on hold for a while by the looks of it. In the meantime I’ve been refining the hands in preparation for textures, which meant finding out whether this could be extrapolated into something tendinous…
