Took apart this $12 clone of the NES Mini I found for sale locally.
Inside its the standard NES-on-a-chip epoxy blob with flash that contains ROMs. Presumably you could change the contents of the flash if your favorite game isn't included, might try to dump it.
The case itself is pretty nice, and it has solid buttons on the front which would be easy to interface with. Basically, has the makings of a sweet Raspberry Pi case if you were so inclined.
