I love finding out about stuff I don't understand

He talked about electric cars. I don't know anything about cars, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Then he talked about rockets. I don't know anything about rockets, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Now he talks about software. I happen to know a lot about software & Elon Musk is saying the stupidest shit I've ever heard anyone say, so when people say he's a genius I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets.

@atax1a look it's fine, if someone sends you spam you can just block the email address they sent it from. Or you can just block their whole server. And if you don't like it you can just run your own mail server.

There's no way that spam will be a problem.

I can't quite get my head around it only being Tuesday
$44,000,000,000 to buy a domain name though
Decided to look at network stats again. There are 1M more people using #Mastodon today than there were on October 27.
Holy moly I'm impossibly tired today

here's a free tip for all the #TwitterMigration people:

mastodon ONLY has text search for your toots, and the toots of people you follow, nothing beyond that, so you MUST use hashtags for others to be able to find things you post. And don't be afraid to use them, unlike the hellsite, mastodon doesn't limit your reach in any way based on how many hashtags or links you use in your posts :)

and there's an edit button too

and make sure to follow @feditips for more awesome Mastodon Tips™

Who called it "malloc()" and not "see_you_later_allocator()" ?
I don't quite understand how picking an instance is important if this is federated anyway. That bit is confusing me at the minute
It seems nice here. People just doing their thing. I like it
