I wrote a little something about the Sony PRS-300 on my blog:

The Sony PRS-300 (and other 5'' eReader)

I talk about my reading experience with the Sony PRS-300, putting on custom firmware, the process of swapping the battery and sewing an envelope-style pouch. I'm also comparing it to two other 5 inch eReaders: the Pocketbook Mini from 2013 and the Xiaomi Mooan Inkpalm 5 from 2022.

Oh, I just found out about Volume 13 and 14 being translated. Not sure if I already read 13, but definitely not 14. I guess I gotta be more efficient studying for the exam on Wednesday (and everything else) so I can read  #TheApothecaryDiaries
My special edition DSi XL has finally arrived after almost 3 months!! I will pick it up tomorrow, very hyped
@bastelwombat interesting! I didn't think of that since the picture on the left was taken after the picture on the right. But now that I am inside, I feel like the effect wore off and it doesn't fade that much. Thanks for the hint

@Tattooed_Mummy I suspect that, but couldn't find any related setting. I'll look again later, maybe its under power / battery settings.

Edit: couldn't find anything

I noticed something weird with the PRS 300. The letters start fading after a few page turns, as if the ink is running low. It's really distracting. Can this be fixed/changed? #prs300 #ereader #eink

Are you a backpack person? I am, and I was very disappointed when the material broke down and showed tears. Here's how I fixed it:

Fjällräven Kånken repair

Talking about my unfortunate expierence with the Fjällräven backpack and the following repair, mainly done by hand stitching.

I love when custom Firmware from 2011 is still available, just works and really easy to install
What a great time investment. Just imagining how much brain power I'd spend thinking about The Apothecary Diaries if I was stuck with watching an episode every week  now I can catch up with the anime in peace, whenever I want

@fluidlogic I use a Kobo Sage for Manga, getting koreader on it was mostly just drag and drop from what I remember. Never had any problems with it. Battery might not be as good as other Readers, but I personally don't mind that.

Second hand kindles are also an option since the winterbreak hack, be sure to check battery swap guides beforehand. Some of them can be impossible without breaking the screen. I recently put Koreader on some old Kindles and once it's running all is well.
