BOMBASTIC, ABSOLUTELY LOVABLE RECLUSE; PASSIONATE LOVER, VICIOUS FIGHTER; PARTAKES OF ROLES, PLAY, GAMES, AND ALL COMBOS THEREIN.

P: HE, HIM, HIS.

@DarkestKale @theoutrider @Driadon @demonicdragon @B_doggio Hell yes, poet! I CAST VICIOUS MOCKERY!
@DarkestKale If you find that's happening, try forbidding the whole lot (usually by stack forbidding or area forbidding, IIRC), unpause, repause, then reclaim that forbidden pile. Usually resets their perception of the objects' accessibility, but may be due to different factors.
@DarkestKale Literally the saddest reason to close a fort, because its death would be slow and boring. :P
@DarkestKale It's easy to mark a stockpile as forbidden or dumped; make sure to check the undump/claim controls, as it'll highlight all instances of dumped/forbidden stuff. Every so often I do a big clear of the map to make sure I'm not screwing myself over with my regular usage of dump/forbid.
@DarkestKale @MachineLordZero A hero to all dorfs.
@DarkestKale @RoseArtemis Hells yes, gonna cave them trog skulls in with my HOE, 'cuz I'm a DORF farmer, mofo! >8D

@thecojsz HP is a bit of an issue until you draw it out to a % of their total capability to stay standing under duress. 50 damage on a 100HP character is -bad-, that's a nasty, bleeding wound that's gonna slow then right down, slipped between the plates. A 10hp hit on said 100hp character means they got clipped, winged, drew blood but not a lot, but they can't keep taking more of those in good conscience, etc.

Damage type is BIG as well, but you're mostly just adding flair.

@thecojsz It's all pacing, in my book. It's got to be quick, snappy, and with just enough flair to carry [Your Style Of Combat] across. Is your world gritty? So is your combat. Serrated blades drag through leather and strip flesh. Is it punchy and mostly showy ala Marvel? Enemies crumble under mighty blows! Description is good, but if it gets in the way of pacing of the combat, then it's not serving its purpose. Practice keeping combat flow, and add little descriptive snippets to practice it <3
@DarkestKale @orz Caaareful... I hear that's a *frumple* question with them...
@DarkestKale I never liked the console nature of it either. SkyUI fixes moooost of that (most outside of core combat, that's another deck of cards entirely). But it's still a console game wearing Morrowind's skin.
