Cake disposal unit. He/him-ish.

I haven't mentioned it I think, but there are a few more sharks, gay and very gay. They were made for Eurofurence Artist Alley but if you want one before, here is a chance.

There are two more trans haj and strawberry ones. The strawberries are the last ones because I bought the entire stock of the fabric left… which was exactly half a meter.  The trans haj shop photos are from the original "patchy" version but the new ones are made of a single piece for the belly.

You can get them from the shop link https://keeya.arcticfluff.eu/shop/megashark

(I also have new magnet bats but didn't find time to update stuff yet between other projects.)

@checkervest I saw this meme on bsky yesterday
Meanwhile on other social media book authors are saying that they are accused by their readers of plagiarism as people are using these AI detection tools. What these people don't know is it is the other way around. These AI companies like Google, OpenAI, Claude, &1 others have done plagiarism to train their shity AI. Because they never give credit, now authors are losing respect & accused. What a disaster. The us government making harder to sue these trillion dollar corporations

Ok, the PR doesn't seem terrible? The topic is touchy as hell and putting political pressure against the entire age-checking effort is absolutely necessary, but on technical grounds this implementation does the two things I'd absolutely want here: allowing the user to unilaterally set whatever value they want, including none at all, and disallowing applications from reading that value without the user's permission.

So very much a design that superficially ticks the compliance checkbox while pointedly laying out its implementation in the shape of the letters F U C K Y O U.

Mind you, loud non-compliance also has value and I'm glad some are taking that road. But we need both IMO.

A small set of people are merging changes to various Linux components to make sure every application knows your birth date. This is being done rapidly by people with questionable justifications and being merged with no youth and few marginalized people involved. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/accountsservice/accountsservice/-/merge_requests/176#0b07c0cc4d49be119f65cdb2037440f56eed647a

My #Wikipedia request for comment just closed, finally banning #AI content in articles! "The use of LLMs to generate or rewrite article content is prohibited"

Kudos to all who participated in writing the guideline (especially Kowal2701) and the whole WikiProject AI Cleanup team, this was very much a group effort!

Starting to think the real risk is not AI replacing junior staff, but senior staff quitting because they just can’t take this AI bullshit any longer and just opt for early retirement.

“1. You don't know what to build

This is the one nobody wants to talk about because it's embarrassing. Your PM hasn't talked to a real user in two months. Your requirements arrive as a Jira ticket with three sentences and a Figma link to a design that was approved by someone who's never used the product. Your engineers are making fifty micro-decisions a day about behaviour, edge cases, and error handling that nobody specified, because nobody thought about them.”

If you thought the speed of writing code was your problem - you have bigger problems | Debugging Leadership

AI coding tools are optimising the wrong thing and nobody wants to hear it. Writing code was already fast. The bottleneck is everything else: unclear requirements, review queues, terrified deploy cultures, and an org chart that needs six meetings to decide what colour the button should be.

Students or anyone who is the need for a free Linux Laptop?

We as Laptop Revive can provide one free of charge, no background checks. Just a friendly face and some basic agreements on paper and then we hand it over somewhere in the Netherlands.

Sounds like a miracle? No fact is that we already handed out more than 100 of them ! 🙂👍

See https://laptoprevive.nl for the details

#Boosts are welcome

When they tell you
that if you do not
take off your mask,
that if you do not
start using AI,
that if you do not
get with the times,
that you will be
left behind,
remember:
it is perfectly acceptable
to respond by telling them
that you do not want
to go where they’re going.
