Google has 'clarified' why sites may see their Discover traffic fluctuate wildly.

And by 'clarify' I actually mean 'waffle meaninglessly without providing clear direction'.

Basically, Google giveth and Google taketh away, and there's fuck all you can do about it.

I'm only about a third in but the way he describes the invention of the printing press and the impact it has as it spread is incredibly enticing.
