Working with a remote repo can be slower and use more data than it feels like it should. But now that I've seen the eazyBackup client in action, maybe that's just the way it is.

I remember a while ago, it was known in enterprise storage circles that at least one vendor's drive firmware did that intentionally. The day I found an empty caddy at a spare desk, i chuckled because that meant someone had walked off with a drive and was sorely disappointed when they put it in their machine at home.
