As iOS developers, we test mobile APIs from desktop browsers more often than we test them from actual mobile devices.
Stable WiFi. Perfect conditions.
But our users?
Unstable networks. Expired tokens. Switching between apps.
That gap explains a surprising number of āworks on my machineā bugs.
Iāve started debugging APIs directly from Apple devices instead of relying only on traditional browser-based REST API clients.
Itās not about replacing tools but aligning testing with reality.
API testing shouldnāt feel like a context switch.
It should feel like part of the development.
Thatās what weāre exploring with HTTPBot.
