Hello! Thanks for being here. This is a survey for literally anyone to fill in, every response from everyone is helpful. If you speak English, you're in.
This survey has nine questions over four pages, and depending on your answers you might not need to see every page. It's pretty fast and easy, it should only take you a couple of minutes. It doesn't ask for any identifying information such as your email address.
You'll find information about how to see the results and how to help promote after you submit the survey. It'll run for one week, ending at noon UK time on Monday 14th August 2023 at the soonest. So, it’s been a week since everything happened. I went to a wedding earlier this week, and it hurt. Was speaking to a mutual friend today (who’s really been a best friend for a few months), and she showed me screenshots of their conversation when he realised what he did.
And he continues to show absolutely no self-awareness of how his lack of feeling has impacted me, how his self-centredness beyond all shadow of a doubt has utterly destroyed the friendship he was “trying not to risk” by telling me he had no feelings. And instead, by not telling me… he showed me. And it destroyed the friendship far more than it would have had he just. been. honest.
I don’t ask for much from people I care about. Honesty, loyalty and respect. Sigh.
I've become a lot more confident as of late, and I've been more inclined to make sure people use my chosen pronouns. I've been stopping people calling me he and reminding them I prefer they. And so far... People have been great with it. :)
There's a whole group of people at work that even call me Arty, short for Artemis my preferred name. It's been absolutely great. ^_^
Friend's wedding was great, but I am not gonna lie... I'm glad to be back home and in my own bed. That is my Autie self showing there. 😅
Not gonna lie… I’m still feeling pretty damn broken this weekend. Probably more-so than when the person I thought I loved showed me that I meant so little to him..
He apologised yesterday, but his apology centred around the fact that he is self-centred sometimes, and doesn’t think about others and how they might feel about his actions… and that he still considers me his best friend.
I just… I cannot. I really cannot.

Today. Today is a good day. Today, my employer shows off a train with a pride livery. It's a good first step... But there are many more steps to take, internally and externally. But the LGBTQ+ of East Anglia can rest assured, there are people out there who see you and understand. And we care. And we are working on making the world a better, more inclusive place!
Someone I vehemently dislike is trying to organise people to play Citation Needed and "Two of These People are Lying" of Tom Scott fame... And I am extremely conflicted. I don't want to play it with them at all... But I wanna play those games (as Tom Scott and the host, to be honest!) oh so badly.

Also, there's a professional photographer there on Thursday, and the Managing Director has already told the press folk he wants a picture with the drivers on the day.
I really, *really* wish I had the time to go to the barbers beforehand. 😅
