Achso, alles klar. Na dann ist die Sache für mich vom Tisch.

trying to make the thumbnail for goofy video about "could you ranch sea cows"

but Canva's catalogue of Cowboy Pics is. irredeemably thirsty. so every thumbnail draft comes out looking like a Chuck Tingle novel

this is the most mindful & demure cowboy they have

I’m sure this is fine.

Which actually reminds me of one of my favorite only-for-software-geeks one-liners:

"Days Since Last Timezone Error: -1"

Due to tariffs, Americans are likely to hear a lot about farm mental health as harvest approaches this year. Especially farmer suicide.

So let's get it on the record now. The "farmer suicide epidemic" of the last few years in the US is not real.

It's a lobbying tactic.

it has been ZERO DAYS since I have had to agree to the GPL

The thing I took away from Ars Electronica 2024 was said in the short panel discussion with Hito Steyerl.
She not only criticized the event for its often very uncritical engagement and advertisement of big tech "AI" through what she called "Embedded Artists," but she also said something very punchy.
In response to someone involved in an AI-Startup claiming to "democratize" the technology, she mentioned that with the rise of right-wing fascism worldwide, we might not have democracy anymore very soon, and pointed out that the companies developing these technologies play an important role in this movement.

She said that everybody is looking for the Killer App for "AI," and that it's obvious what that will be: The Killer App

And that this development is already in full swing both in Ukraine as well as in Gaza
