Super Blue Moon 24 (2024) 25 x 50 cm Hand-dyed embroidered wool on perforated aluminum. This piece is the culmination of a 6-month journey, creating a color palette influenced by the plants I eat, suburban flowers I encounter on my way to the studio, and experimenting with food scraps as dyes. The title comes as a reference to moon cycles happening when I created the embroidery. Orange: onion skins Blue: red cabbage Brown 1: coffee Brown 2: dried elderberries Light green: thyme 1-4.
