I look at things and some times things look back at me.
The proof we didn't know we needed....

This is hilarious. It appears that Twitter is DDOSing itself.

The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning. Even though nothing loads, the Twitter website never stops trying and trying.

In the first video, notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. Then notice the jiggling scrollbar on the right.

The second video shows why it's jiggling. Twitter is firing off about 10 requests a second to itself to try and fetch content that never arrives because Elon's latest genius innovation is to block people from being able to read Twitter without logging in.

This likely created some hellish conditions that the engineers never envisioned and so we get this comedy of errors resulting in the most epic of self-owns, the self-DDOS.

Unbelievable. It's amateur hour.

Oh this poor, poor man! What a travesty, I hope he's doing fine now.

Must be so hard to deal with laying off thousands of people while in the tropical paradise that is French Polynesia.

I vote that #Google and #Apple rename their location permissions to "Assassination Coordinates" in a future OS release.

We need this folks!

@anclement Yeah, I just saw this article from The Verge, which is why I was testing it: https://www.theverge.com/2022/12/15/23512113/twitter-blocking-mastodon-links-elon-musk-elonjet
Twitter is blocking links to Mastodon

Twitter is blocking users from tweeting links to many major servers for Mastodon. The bans were enacted sometime after after journalists and Mastodon’s own account were unexpectedly suspended.

Man, fuck ‘grind culture’ and everybody who glamorizes it.

People need to stop putting value on working so hard they destroy their brains, their bodies, and their relationships.

Just do what you have to do to enjoy what little time you have in this world.

2022 was a comfort year for music. #spotifywrapped
