Yersterday morning: maybe 10% or so of the people I follow regularly on the bird site are here
Now: huh think it's fully half or more are here

Am still on meta, but it’s not the primary network. It’s for family, a few friends. It’s a useless place for oh OSINT, for example. It still has its use for local wildfires
It's been a real busy day and I think most of you on mstdn.social has noticed we are almost an hour behind on the timelines.. 
Past night around 11K new people joined mstdn.social via invite links and this was a little too much to handle 
So instead of running in circles, I have setup another public #Mastodon instance with the same rules as on mstdn.
To lighten the load on mstdn, perhaps some would care to migrate to the new instance?
I'll likely cross-post regularly on Twitter and Mastodon, and those who follow my coverage know I tend to thread court proceedings.
I understand Mastodon users *can* thread posts. From an interface perspective, are threads an appreciated/effective way to communicate here?
Alright, just found the list of #lawfedi #lawtwitter mastadon lawyers and imported them to my follow list. So now my federated section will be filled with lawyers like my twitter feed was.
