I lived in Israel for many years, raised kids there, lived through many rounds of fighting, witnessed the many injustices in the society, and stood up for peace, two states, and the end of the occupation every way that I could.

I left because I didn't see the events of this week not playing out. No one would ever budge in either direction, and feeling justified to commit horrible crimes, mutually assured destruction is assured.

This is the worst case scenario and it's happening in real time.

Got the bike out to Forest Park to scout out the trails finally. The hiking trails say no bikes but I took the bridle trail, which I think is fair game. It's a gravel path with some nice hills and curves suitable for a mountain bike. I did see somebody riding on the foot trails so maybe you can get away with it.
