The Epstein Files are an important issue for me.
Because, although we all accept, explicitly or secretly, that our economic systems favour the rich and oppress the rest of us, forcing us to give our productivity throughout our waking life to capital owners ..
... We were not quite aware that they could outright rape and abuse our children with complete impunity, and our systems would even protect their identity.

Mogul values ended up capturing our own values. We fell into caring more about # likes, follows, etc. than maintaining relationships.
We *ourselves* incinerated the qualitative in our lives and replaced it with Zuck's numbers. The change was internal, not just external.

I'm actually kind of tired of the nihilistic "everything is fcked" mindset that a lot of people seem to share today.
Just because you have a long tangible list of things we could improve (which is good!), doesn't mean the world is universally in bad shape.
I think there's a serious danger of becoming apathetic due to the acute awareness of things that are wrong.
But many of these things were much more wrong in the past, we just didn't think about them before.
Let's create the world we want ☮️
