@dtm @harold What a very sweet article!!! It also feels very current, especially the ending with the dark clouds (but I see it's 4 years old — woof, the dark clouds are still moving in)
@nxskok This is good advice. I was also lucky that you found me and we connected!
@JohanDiederik Thank you!
@Lizette603_23 Thank you!

In 2006, Renfe introduced a new type of rolling stock for Alvia trains that was able to switch from Iberian to International gauge without having to stop and maneuver the train.(1)

It's 2026 and I am in an Alvia train that has now been stopped for several minutes at the gauge switching tunnel(2), lights off and everything.

(1) I just learned this from Wikipedia, I am not a train nerd!

(2) Hence I have no clue how the "gauge switching tunnel" is actually called 😅

@dtm @harold Thank you!!! it does!
@purplepadma @MedeaVanamonde I am in no rush, so I will slowly start following more folks based on interests and hashtags. Thank you both!
@fleuron I have found the cheatsheets useful for "how was that one thing I used to do" kind of situations, but not quite for learning to do new stuff. But I may give it a new try. And I agree with the usefulness of the visualizations. I also was unaware that ggplot is considered part of the tidyverse! (I do use ggplot often)
@acid Thanks for the recommendation! I think it's the few months of typing slowly that I am always procrastinating on, but at some point I just should accept it and endure it hehe
@trib @stufromoz Woooooo! Such an interesting project, thank you for sharing!
