Music (classical/folk mainly), family, environment, gardening, running, wild swimming, cats, healthcare.
Often seen cycling round Cambridge with multiple children, fiddles, a box accordion or a cello, sometimes all of the above.
Trying desperately to save British General Practice and the NHS.
@snarkysteff our GP surgery has a plot on the local allotment site, so people who can't cope with a whole allotment can come and join in for their health, and for free veggies.

Right now, the entire country of Denmark is using 4245MW of electricity.

Windmills are producing: 3442 MW
Solar is producing: 746 MW

So if we do the math, wind + solar = 98.7% of our energy use right now is 100% renewable

Just a reminder that not only can we fix climate change, we are fixing it.

@WillBlackWriter The Tories have been chipping away at the NHS for years. Their plan is to make it unworkable, to allow its disintegration until people are desperate and then they will come to the rescue with a plan to privatise profitable sections and compel citizens to take out health insurance. Possibly my favourite cartoon in the world (by Emily's Cartoons).
@karlsinfield when it's that cold, it feels bizarrely paradoxically warm. You have to really listen to your body for signs you've had enough, to avoid actually going hypothermic. 2 brave souls were there in literally only woolly bobble hats! But they only stayed in about 20 seconds, I managed 2 minutes completely encased in neoprene from the neck down.
Not quite Wim Hof but I'm building up to that.
@JeremytheJedi I did it (in a wetsuit, gloves, and boots)!
