One of my laptops for "home use" is a Dell Inspiron 1501. It was a present from my dad in 2006. With an SSD, plenty of RAM (4Gb) and Linux it runs pretty smoothly and do "normal life" with traditional apps and recent versions.
It features a 2Ghz AMD Turion with single core.
Can it be considered retro?

I always wanted a Dumb Terminal... Now I'm tempted in buying a Videotex terminal, but I need your help because I have to choose.
1) French Minitel, 25€, ugly, dirty, but 100% hackable (it has exposed serial port) @vga256
2) Catalan/French Bull Micral Telesincro, 30€, very nice, has a printer on it😱 *but* doesn't have exposed serial port, only modem. Unknown hackability level and no information on the Internet.
First (failed) attempt to load stuff to my #CommodoreC64 using the XE1541 cable and 64HDD software.
I definetively will have to #RTFM 😁
