Restoration of an Alcatel Terminatel 255

After bringing back to service an electronic typewriter and an old Sun server, I decided to start a new challenge by finding another old machine to restore. After some search on a second-hand marketplace, I've found the subject of today's article : a Terminatel 255, a Minitel terminal produced by Alcatel.

Une nouvelle imprimante pour accompagner mes #minitel 🎉

Celle-ci est alimentée par le minitel via le port série et n'est donc compatible qu'avec les modèles qui fournissent une alimentation. Le câble DIN est fixe.

Elle fonctionne très bien (j'ai imprimé le répertoire de mon Magis Club pour l'exemple), mais je suis étonné qu'elle ne réagisse pas à la touche "Guide" comme la Olivetti/Penbox.

Remise en route d'un Alcatel Terminatel 255

Après avoir remis en service une machine à écrire électronique et un vieux serveur Sun, je voulais me lancer un nouveau défi en trouvant une nouvelle machine de collection à restaurer. Après quelques recherches sur Leboncoin, j'ai pu trouver mon bonheur avec le sujet de l'article du jour : un Terminatel 255, soit un Minitel de chez Alcatel.
