Always been interested in woodworking, but finally, with gentle encouragement from @preinheimer, took a plunge and signed up for Steve Ramsey's online weekend woodworking course.
Having build a basic mobile workbench, I then moved onto the first project, a California casual side table, which turned out way better than I hoped. Of course now I am rearranging and remodeling the garage to make it into a proper workshop... at least it'll help my mental wellbeing.
Reproduced the dinner that @sean made when I was in Montréal this past summer. Sous vide filet mignon seared in a pan with peppercorn sauce, boiled then roasted young potatoes, quick green beans with oil and lemon. Potatoes and beans were from the garden. #weeknighting
Air fryer salmon bites in soy honey glaze, seared garden broccolini with garlic, cherry tomatoes and garden cucumbers, pickled onions, avocado, Calrose rice and a simple Kewpie based sauce #weeknighting
Made turkey meatballs with summer squash, brothy pesto, and orecchiette, based on Smitten Kitchen’s recipe. Added some garden kale too. #weeknighting
Been going through #Elixir track on exercism.org, 1/3 done so far. Fun stuff, functional programming is kind of rewiring my brain.
