@chelseacuddles still looks very cozy on top of it! too cute🥰
I’m sorry I’m being so sweary lately but we as a people shouldn’t be massacring people in boats, holding the coats of genocidists, kidnapping people and sending them to countries they have no connection with, running concentration camps for kids, sending masked arm men to beat citizens in the streets, taxing working people trillions of dollars and giving tax breaks to billionaires, denying people prescribed medicine on religious grounds, or countenancing this giant protection racket. Fuck that.

If you’re a user of Libby (the library app), consider before following their suggestion to type #InspireMe into the search bar.

It seems harmless, but it turns on an unrequested AI feature, & there is no way to reverse that.

This comes courtesy of Mr/ProfHeyRochelle, who is now reasonably pissed over following said directions.

"Katabasis" by R.F. Kuang, book 36 of 2025

Very disappointing for how excited I was for this book. It's so extremely highbrow, leaning more on explaining theories from different literary works than actually getting somewhere with the story. Kuang has a habit of writing characters with severe flaws, which I usually admire in her work, but this one felt annoying and like a chore to read. Tbh it took me over a month to read, and I wish I'd just given up earlier and DNF'd #books
