On the other hand millions of people are stuck on twitter with an increasingly far right bias. Because one man baby billionaire decided to blow 44bn
sorry, needed to edit the picture(s) a few times for visibility. settled on putting both trips in the one picture
fuck it, i'm getting rideshare to my interview. i'll use public transport on the way home tho. thank god this won't be where my actual job is
The primary complaints about Gen Z ultimately boil down to "They refuse to work shitty jobs for shit pay" and "They're too nice to people who are different". Which says just as much about the quality of the older generations as the quality of the new one.

i'm reading through the committee submissions for the queensland parliament's 'births, deaths and marriages registration bill 2022', and i see a lot of terfs & transphobes talking about how the bill will allow trans women to use women's toilets.

...do they not realise that there's no law in qld that stops anyone, trans or not, from using the men's or women's toilets? or do they know this and are just straight up lying to try legitimise their agenda?

I just had the worst #interview of my entire #career . It turned out to be an insightful list of precisely how NOT to attract talent. In that way, it was really useful to me as a candidate.

Presented for your amusement, here's a thread of what I asked. It's going to be a longboi, but here's my absolute favorite:

🚩 Do you have any queer peers? Is this a safe place for them to work? "We don't talk about that here."

Notice something interesting from this Wired article?

Media is already branding Mastodon as "Twitter's most popular alternative".

Not Post, not Hive, not Gab—it's Mastodon.

And once a media narrative takes shape, that becomes the story.

Mastodon Features That Twitter Should Steal (but Won’t)

Elon Musk's platform could learn a thing or two from its most popular alternative—like how to build a social platform people actually want to be on.
