@HilliTech Just wanted to chime in on your comments about uses of AI on the Apple Insider podcast.
Claude is particularly good at “what’s missing” types of questions. Another good use for editorial-style writing is asking Claude “what are the weaknesses in my argument” or “what would someone with the opposite perspective say?”
Useful for getting info on points of view different than your own. The training data probably has many hundreds of thousands of debates, editorials, etc.

There’s a setting that disables the new icons on drop-down menus in Tahoe but it doesn’t work so well in Safari:
“Safari is a heartbreak. It’s one of my favorite, most-used apps, and generally, one of Apple’s best exemplars of what makes a great Mac app a great Mac app. But with this setting enabled, only a handful of seemingly random menu items have their icons hidden.”

If this worked to hide *all* of these cursed little turds smeared across the menu bar items of Apple’s system apps in Tahoe, this hidden preference would be a proverbial pitcher of ice water in hell. As it stands, alas, it’s more like half a glass of tepid water.

Her name was Renee Nicole Good. She was 37. Her mother described her as a gift:
“Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”
Update: she is survived by her wife and a 6-year-old daughter.
