Our “It’s Raining Coin Cells” LED art display for @crowdsupply #Teardown2025 is coming along! We wanted it to be instructional too so we’ve left connections and some wiring visible and will have signs with more info on how it was constructed. Plus maybe some freebies to grab!

Today’s progress. I still have a lot to do with cutting the right pieces of shims, figuring out what to do with the gap where the shim piece meets that decorative edging, and painting everything. But it works! Good enough to test this out for a couple of weeks before finishing it off.

I cut a hole in my purrfectly good door because I love my cat. I just moved and kept him inside for a week, which is challenging for both of us. Last night I could tell he was beyond ready as he howled for 10 solid minutes in the middle of the night.

It’s an interesting project, but I have been a wee bit terrified of fucking up my door. I’m happy to report it is totally functional, aesthetics I’ll work on later.

Join us today in SLO at the Hub on Monterey! We’ve got a booth of goodies and are joining 40 other women-owned businesses who are all showing you what we do best from 12-4pm. This includes some awesome food trucks! Should be a beautiful and fun Sunday.

Made some more stickers (the pink/purple ones), inspired by @drc3p0 ‘s DIY OR DIE TRYIN sticker (second photo along with some of their other stickers!). $10 thermal printer has a hard time adjusting to round stickers and basically wouldn’t calibrate on the glitter ones at all. Gotta see if there are some manual setup options.

I got these boards in just under the tariff wire, and I’m pretty stoked on how they turned out! Coming soon to the website! Stay tuned for more boards that solder to all kinds of Pebble LED strands in different ways. They’re optimized for soldering right to the back of a Pixelblaze Pico by @wizard , but they can interface with any controller if you need a convenient way to power everything with a USB-C battery.
