@malwaretech what exactly is the problem? To backup/transfer click the three dots -> transfer accounts -> export/import account. Scan the QR and you are done.
Worst case scenario you print it out and store it in a safe place somewhere

@rbreich this is quite a poor portrayal of what net worth is. The value of your assets are not going to affect your day-to-day life. This is the case for any income class.
If a wedding ring would suddenly be worth a billion dollars, then on paper everyone that owns a wedding ring would be a billionaire. It is not going to change their day-to-day life. You'll still need to find someone with a billion dollars that is willing to buy it from you if you are trying to liquidate (to sell it).
I've had the idea for a weird kind of Twitter client for years. With Mastodon being all open, I've decided to do the experiment:
What if your Timeline looked like iMessage. A normal timeline confuses me to no end because everything is out of context.
My experiment, Ebou, is a Mastodon client that looks like iMessage. Conversations are grouped by friends and sorted by recent postings.
It is super basic right now, but this already feels much more natural to me 😀
@vmbrasseur It is a bit of a double edged sword. In many cases non-compete clauses are unnecessary. However, there are cases where "corporate secrets" can give an advantage over competitors.
For example, the R&D cost of certain products/services can cost millions, if not billions. Bringing that knowledge to competitors can destroy a business.
@annaleen Given that you will not just exist, but your existence requires resources to be consumed. The only time this becomes realistic is when there is an abundance in resources. When you are not contributing anything your community considers of value, you will be the first to be outcasted when resources become scarce.
Capitalism uses money as a way of expressing value, while it is clearly not the fairest for everyone, there has also not (yet) been a system that has been more fair.
@Sheril While it is true that the commercialization of a product/service has often excluded women and many women have been victims of witch burnings. There is no known evidence supporting that these two are related.
Unfortunately, personal bias cannot be used to fill in gaps of information, and is the number one cause of spreading misinformation.
