The FTC moves to ban #noncompete agreements

The Federal Trade Commission proposed a rule on Thursday that would block employers from using noncompete agreements to restrict workers from pursuing employment with competitors.

@vmbrasseur It is a bit of a double edged sword. In many cases non-compete clauses are unnecessary. However, there are cases where "corporate secrets" can give an advantage over competitors.

For example, the R&D cost of certain products/services can cost millions, if not billions. Bringing that knowledge to competitors can destroy a business.
